This "Granadillo" is a real gem.Gone is the micarta bridge, fingerboard and pickup barnyard door of the older 16 series. It does not have any aging toner or other pumpkin color hue to its top. Maybe some "experts" are loathe to comment on nay Martin below the 18 series or don't have the classic dove tail neck joint.
